Welcome to my website where I would like to share some of the fabulous wildlife sightings that we have been privileged to see whilst on our travels over the years. I am continuously amazed and inspired by wildlife and the natural environment and have enjoyed seeing and photographing some of those moments.
I hope that you enjoy my wildlife photographs and if the preservation of this wonderful planet and all the plants and animals with whom we share the Earth is not already high on your agenda, that this website does a small bit to encourage you to look after the diverse wildlife of this planet and their habitats.
As ever more natural areas are destroyed along with the animals and plants within those habitats, it is so important that humans, as arguably the most “intelligent” species on the planet, takes the issue of wildlife conservation seriously and we all do our bit to protect the planet!
Thank you for visiting my website!
Why Wildlife Photography?
Having always had a passion for the wild and being outdoors, my interest in wildlife photography took a more serious turn following our first major safari in 2003 when we visited South Africa, Zambia and Botswana. For that trip I had a compact camera and a basic video camera. It soon became clear that my real interest was in the ‘stills’; although the video camera had such a built in option, the quality left much to be desired.
Following this adventure we were ‘bitten’ by the 'safari bug' and the wonders of Africa and my interest in wildlife photography had seriously begun. By the time we ventured to Africa again in 2005 I had purchased an entry level Canon DSLR and a 28mm to 300mm lens from which I have never looked back.
